Edge to Edge Quilting is applying a pattern that does not necessarily follow the pieced pattern of the quilt top. You may know it as a panto or pantograph. Edge to edge quilting is appropriate for many types of quilts. Three Bears Quilting has over 1,000 designs to choose from! Pricing depends on the complexity of the design, as well as other factors (see menu below).
Therse patterns have no backstitching and are not dense at all
These patterns are moderately dense and probably have some backstitching
These patterns are quite dense with multiple design elements. Flat out gorgeous some might say. Gives a very custom, show quality look
Adding a separate design in your borders can really take your quilt to the next level. Add .01 to the prices above. This does involve turning the quilt. Same thing applies to cutting around applique or other motifs. (add .01)
As far as I'm concerned, Custom Quilting is defined as anything that's not Edge to Edge. Custom quilting is my passion, but it does take considerable time and skill. Many, if not most, Long Arm Quilters do not offer custom quilting due to the time involved and skill required. I LOVE to do custom quilting, but please expect to pay between .06 and .12 cents per sq inch depending on your quilt
This usually means blocks, sashing and separate borders and possibly some SID.
This includes the above with considerably more SID, much denser patterns, more than one border, setting triangles and who knows what else????
This would be a quilt that has a lot of applique, multiple borders and sashing's, many designs and shapes, lots of negative space needing creative quilting, lots of SID and who know what else you might come up with!

Do you have a vintage quilt top that a family member made years ago, but never got around to quilting it? Or perhaps you found a beautiful quilt top at an estate sale. I will be glad to quilt these for you. My price may include soaking in Vintage Soak to remove age spots and repairing any seams or holes due to age, if you desire. For the non sewist, I can quote a price that includes all aspects of turning this top into a completed quilt. Please contact me for a quote.
